Quality Control and Testing
We are committed to what we do and have designed a comprehensive Quality Control and Testing Procedure to make sure each handset is repaired correctly and returned in perfect working order. Our procedure goes beyond simply checking just what is to be/was repaired. Each cell phone received is put through a series of tests several times during the repair process:
- We fully test each phone upon arrival (even if the issue is obvious or known) to ensure that no additional issues are found.
- Our tech will test each phone after repair to ensure all issues have been corrected and that all basic functions are working.
- Our QC department will then run a full range of tests to verify the repair has corrected the issues AND to test full functionality of your phone.
We find the final step vital. Each handset must be disassembled to some degree for any repair. This creates the possibility that parts shift or do not get assembled correctly during the process. While the technician has verified the primary issue was repaired, another issue may have inadvertently been created. Over the years, we have received a number of cell phones that came in with new issues after having been repaired at other locations. In each case, this was attributable to minor errors or details missed during final assembly. This final test assures that each cell phone leaves our facility in perfect working order.
This final QC step includes testing of up to up to 23 individual functions (depending on a phone's design) under the following categories:
- Audio
- Keys / User Entry
- Media
- Display
- Connectivity
- Charging
- RF / Calls
- Fit / finish
Each phone is returned with documentation containing the technician's full notes on the repair(s) performed and a full checklist of what was tested. Both the technician and QC tester are required to initial their work for accountability.
This comprehensive testing not only ensures a quality repair, but also allows us to back up each repair with a 90 day warranty. In fact, if our repair fails, we will pay to pick it up for re-work AND pay to ship it back when completed.
