As an alternative to the service provider 'insurance' plans and as a coverage option for those who cannot qualify for their service provider's plan, Blue Ridge Wireless offers two third party options, through Global Warranty Group, both underwritten and guaranteed by a rated insurance company

Deluxe Program Highlights - $50 annual fee

  • Coverage up to $169, 1 repair or 1 replacement permitted within a 12-month period.

  • Covers physical damage, loss and theft.

  • Deluxe Program provides lost, stolen or broken coverage for a wireless phone, standard battery and standard charger.

  • 1 Year coverage – Blue Ridge Wireless will bill you for renewal.

  • If claims is used, a new policy may be purchased.

  • Coverage for all makes and models of wireless phones - ALL CARRIERS.

  • Deductibles as low as $25.

  • Coverage begins the 31st day after purchase (30 day "waiting period"). Renewals not subject to the waiting period.

  • 48 hour turnaround time for all replacements and 3 to 5 business days for all repairs (plus shipping time). Replacement customers will receive equipment of like kind and quality.

  • Easy and fast claims filing, 800# available 24 hours/ 7 days a week (lost or stolen claims require a police report).

Premier Program Highlights - $60 annual fee

  • Coverage up to $1000.00, 2 repairs or 1 replacement permitted within a 12-month period.

  • Covers physical damage, loss and theft AND liquid damage (water damage)

  • Premier Program provides lost, stolen or broken coverage for a wireless phone, standard battery and standard charger.

  • 1 Year coverage – Blue Ridge Wireless will bill you for renewal.

  • If all claims are used, a new policy may be purchased.

  • Coverage for all makes and models of wireless phones - ALL CARRIERS.

  • Deductibles as low as $50.

Terms and conditions:
Coverage applies ONLY to the handset specified (determined by serial number, ESN or IMEI) at time of activation. repair and replacement coverage IS transferable to another handset belonging to the same user. To ensure your handset remains covered, any change in phones due to warranty replacement, new purchase needs to be reported to Blue Ridge Wireless in a timely manner.

Coverage is only eligible for phone models originally available for sale in the US.

repair and replacement coverage may be forfeited in the event of a fraudulent claim, a claim filed on an abused handset, or a claim filed for any handset in which there is evidence of tampering (this includes software modifications, aftermarket housing changes, or any previous repair attempts by unauthorized personnel.

Purchase and Activation:
At this time, insurance activation requires that we see you phone to ensure it meets our insurance criteria. We are working towards an online activation process.

You may bring the handset you wish to ensure to our location if you reside or are in the area OR you may choose to ship the handset to us.

Filing a claim:
In order to process your claim on the first call, please review the information listed below. If you do not have a particular item, the processing of your claim will be delayed.

The person calling in the claim must be listed on the contract.
Make sure you know the manufacturer, model name and number of wireless telephone.

To file a claim for a broken wireless phone or equipment please:

  • Call your Communication Service Provider to determine if there is a misuse problem OR to determine if your handset is covered by the manufacturer's warranty prior to calling the claim center for an Authorized Service Facility.

  • If equipment failure is not resolved, please call the claim center at (888) 980-8894.

To file a claim for a Lost or Stolen wireless phone or equipment please:

  • Contact your Communication Service Provider and suspend your service.

  • Report incident to police, obtain a police report number and copy of the police report.

  • Call the claim center at (888) 980-8894.

Our claims department will do everything they can to ensure you are not without one of your most valuable assets any longer than necessary.

  • Coverage begins on the 31st day after purchase.

  • File your claim within 10 days of the incident.

  • If your exact equipment model cannot be repaired or is not available, you will receive comparable equipment from one of our Authorized Service Facilities.

  • All replacement equipment may be refurbished or equipment of like kind and quality.
