Cell phone repair FAQs:

Question:

When I try to access t-zones,it asks for an unlock code which I do not have. I tried the default ones, but they did not work. It also asks for the unlock code for web access, recent calls, my album, my e-mail hi-fi ringers and anything else you can put a security code on.

Answer:

Motorola phones allow the user to restrict access to many of the menu features. This is helpful for people who lend out there phone and either do not want the user to have access to view or change any menu features, the phonebook, ring styles, etc.

For what ever reason, someone has set the phone to restrict all access.

Rather than entering the code each time you want to get to a menu setting, we need to remove the restrictions.

From the main screen:

MENU -> SETTINGS -> SECURITY -> LOCK APPLICATION

You will be prompted to enter the lock code. The default lock code is 1234 for all Motorola phones. If this does not work, the code has been changed.

The code can be read and reset by Blue Ridge Wireless or any other Motorola Authorized Service & cell phone repair center

Assuming the code is entered correctly, you will see a list of all of the applications. At this point, next to each application you will see the word LOCKED underlined. To change this, select CHANGE using the soft key and select UNLOCKED. You will need to repeat this for each menu application you would like unlocked.
